Optimizer - optimizer.tools and its apps ยท last updated 20 October 2026
Optimizer is a family of small tools for your time, money and tasks, at optimizer.tools and its apps (time.optimizer.tools, money.optimizer.tools, task.optimizer.tools and the full Optimizer at optimizer.tools/app). This page says what we keep about you, why, and what we never do with it.
Your account
You sign in with Google. From your Google sign-in we keep your name, email address, profile picture and Google account ID, to know which data is yours and to show who's signed in. We also note which of our apps you use and how you first found us (the link you came from), to see what brings people.
What you track
What you enter - activities and their times, tasks, plans, spending, and the rest - is kept on our server under your account, so it's there on every device you sign in on. Only you can read it. Before you sign in, it's kept only in your browser.
Google Calendar and Gmail
The ๐ค Assistant can suggest tasks, and activities to track, from your calendar and mail - if you connect them. Connecting is your choice, and you can disconnect at any time in the app.
- Read only. We ask Google for read-only access: calendar.readonly (your events) and gmail.readonly (your mail). We never send, change or delete anything in your calendar or mail.
- Read in your browser. Your calendar and mail are read by the app in your own browser, with Google's permission kept there for at most an hour at a time. We don't keep that permission, or your calendar or mail, on our server.
- Only what the Assistant needs, only when you ask. When you scan or talk to the Assistant, it reads your events for the next week and, of your inbox's last three days, each mail's sender, subject and a short snippet. These go, with your question, through our server to our AI provider, Anthropic (Claude), to write the suggestions - and are not stored by us or used for anything else.
- What stays in your account. Your conversation with the Assistant and its suggestions - the tasks or activities it proposes, and which ones you added or turned down - are kept in your account, like the rest of your data. Not your mail or calendar themselves.
Optimizer's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular, we never use your Google data for advertising, never sell it, never use it to train AI models, and no person reads it - except with your explicit permission, where needed for security or abuse, or where the law requires.
Who else handles it
- Google - sign-in, and Calendar and Gmail when you connect them.
- Anthropic - the AI that writes the Assistant's suggestions, from what's sent when you ask.
- Google Analytics - on our pages, to count visits and see which pages are used. We also count visits from our own server's logs.
We don't sell or share your data with anyone else.
Deleting it
- Disconnect Gmail or Calendar in the app: the app stops reading it, and with both disconnected it gives up Google's permission too. You can also remove Optimizer's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Delete anything you've entered in the app, at any time.
- To delete your whole account, in any of the apps (on the web or Android): tap your picture at the top, then ๐๏ธ delete account and hold the button to confirm. Everything you've entered, your account and your support chat leave the app at once; we keep a copy aside for 90 days, only so we can put the account back if you ask, then it's deleted for good. Our records of the app's errors and of changes, kept to fix problems, also stay at most 90 days.
- Can't sign in any more? Write to [email protected] from the Google account's address, and we'll delete it and confirm.
Questions
Write to [email protected], or ask in the app's ๐ฌ support chat, about anything to do with your data. If this policy changes, the date above changes with it.
